Avoid foods that contain trans fats. Trans fatty acids (a.k.a. partially hydrogenated fats) can increase the bad cholesterol called LDL.
Switch to healthier versions of fats such as cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, avocados, flaxseed oil and ground flaxseeds.
Eliminate refined flours and sugars. When it comes to breads, pastas, muffins, pizza crusts and bagels — look for options made from whole
grains.
You must move! In other words, engage in a daily form of exercise. From walking to Pilates and yoga — find an activity you love and just
do it!
Practice stress management. In today’s go-go-go lifestyle, we often leave little “me” time. Try to do something for yourself for at
least 15 minutes per day. Whether it is talking to a friend, reading, journalizing, meditating or going for a walk — allow yourself time to
decompress from your day.
